This app has been around forever - and works on Mac too - but as a religious CMD + SHIFT + 4 user on Mac, this was perfect for replacing that reflex (I even mapped the same shortcut to work inside Windows, so I can just keep doing it). If you want to annotate, add text or even just copy to your clipboard rather than saving a file every time you make a screenshot this app is for you. Windows has built-in region capturing now, but Lightshot takes it to the next level. In general, I've been impressed with the state of Windows apps - it seems like they've come a long way in recent times, and I've found a number of tools that have enhanced my workflow in a big way. The chemistry clearly isn't right.Over the last few weeks I've been writing about my shift to Windows from Mac after five years of using a MacBook, and many of you have written to ask what apps I use to replace various Mac-only tools. In the past four games that Sanchez and Giroud have started together, the Chilean has not mustered a single shot in target. Sanchez' most impressive showings in this campaign, in the 5-2 and 3-0 wins against Leicester City and Manchester United respectively, have both been when deployed alongside the Englishman rather than Giroud. At that time, Danny Welbeck led the line, and his tendency to drag defenders wide with diagonal runs created space for Sanchez to come infield into the most dangerous areas of the field. Although the Chilean was relatively consistent throughout the course of last season, his best performances came during Giroud's absence with a fractured leg. Although Ramsey typically combines well with Giroud, feeding off his intelligent knock-downs to charge through on goal, the majority of Arsenal's attackers prefer playing with a speedier option. The indications are that some of his teammates prefer playing alongside Walcott too. Giroud can be hard to handle, but it's difficult to imagine a centre-back who would prefer to come up against the Englishman's menacingly mobile style. Walcott brings flexibility and fluidity to the front line. For all his quality, Giroud is a comparatively static fulcrum for the Arsenal attack. That initial approach has quickly become contingent on Walcott's speed and movement. Some of his most telling contributions in 2015-16 have come from the substitutes' bench and keeping Giroud in reserve gives Arsenal a definite "Plan B." When their initial approach falters, he provides an alternative. However, unfortunately for the Frenchman, that role may well be as a cameo. He's an important member of the squad with a significant role to play. In the past, Giroud has frequently been accused of going missing against elite opposition, but this season he has found the net both home and away against one of Europe's best in Bayern Munich. He now stands alone as Arsenal's top goal scorer in all competitions with a tally of eight. After a sluggish start to the season, he has recovered to score six goals in as many Premier League starts. It's not that the current incumbent of the central striking berth, Olivier Giroud, is performing poorly. Since Wenger switched him infield, he has looked like a different player and Arsenal have looked like a different team. It's clear that Wenger now sees him as a striker. Walcott, by contrast, has barely figured in that role since the 2-1 derby defeat at Tottenham back in February. It seems far more likely that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain or Aaron Ramsey will be used in that role, with Wenger evidently enamoured by the solidity and balance the Welshman offers when playing from the flank. However, his days as a winger are largely seen as behind him. Walcott's return would bring quality and a goal threat back to that part of the pitch. At the time of writing, Arsenal are without six players who could conceivably be deployed on that flank, and have had to give first starts in both the Premier League and Champions League to the previously out-of-favour Joel Campbell. However, there is one player whose return is anticipated more hotly than any other: England international Theo Walcott.Ĭuriously, the desire to see him back in action is not really related to the injury crisis on the right-hand side of the Arsenal attack. 21, giving the squad a far healthier look. Arsene Wenger should welcome back a number of senior stars in the weeks after the Premier League resumes on Nov. Arsenal are hoping the international break offers some respite for a squad beset with injuries.
